  • Niagara vineyard is growing

    Warm Lake Estate Vineyard and Winery in Cambria plans to expand its planting of pinot noir grapes this year by almost 50 percent.

    Michael VonHeckler, managing partner, said Warm Lake will add up to 20 acres on property adjacent to the winery on Lower Mountain Road to give it up to 65 acres under planting.

    Exports of French wine and spirits were up a record 12.9% in 2006.

    The figures, announced this week by the FEVS (Federation des Exportateurs de vins et spiritueux de France), show the total value of exports was €8.74bn, up 12.9% on 2005.
